Monday 6th Sept 99	DAY 3 DC to Raleigh
RAIN! RAIN! RAIN! Because the hurricane had just passed through it was pouring rain for most of the trip but in spite of this the drive to Raleigh was easy driving on the freeways. Easy but boring because you can't see much of the scenery from the freeways. If we had more time we would drive via backroads. Arrived at Chris' at a reasonable hour and Chris and Steve took us to dinner for my birthday at the 'Southend Brewery' - great steaks, HUGE American-size servings. Everything is BIG in this country!
