DAY 25 Inverary to Inverness

Heading northwards in the morning we stopped for a time at Inverary, a pretty town on Loch Fyne and did some shopping for family at home.

We drove through some breathtaking country, majestic, craggy mountains and glassy lochs that took our breath away.

We saw the Neptune's Staircase chain of lochs and made a side trip to see Ben Nevis and though we didn't climb it we did get to see some Highland Cattle grazing in the foothills before driving the back way around Loch Ness.  It meant we didn't get to see Urquhardt Castle up close but it's very pretty from across the Loch.

Stopped the night at a Bed and Breakfast in Inverness and walked 20 minutes or so along the river into town for dinner at a pub.  At the bar we met an entertaining character who regaled us with tales of his travels for some hours while educating us about the various local brews
